Returns & Refund Policy
Thank you for using Eezi Hire, South Africa’s marketplace for services, equipment hire and skilled professionals.
This Returns & Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations and returns are handled on the Eezi Hire platform.
Please read this policy carefully before using our website or engaging with businesses listed on the platform.
1. Our Role
Eezi Hire is owned and operated by Entity Deep (Pty) Ltd.
Eezi Hire provides an online marketplace where independent businesses advertise their services and equipment.
Eezi Hire does not sell products, provide services, hire equipment, collect customer payments on behalf of businesses, or act as an agent in transactions between customers and businesses.
Every agreement entered into through the platform is concluded directly between the customer and the independent business.
2. Independent Businesses
Each business listed on Eezi Hire is independently owned and operated.
Businesses are solely responsible for:
- Their pricing
- Quotations
- Contracts
- Deposits
- Payments
- Delivery
- Service quality
- Equipment condition
- Warranties
- Refunds
- Returns
- Cancellations
- Consumer protection obligations
Entity Deep (Pty) Ltd is not responsible for administering or enforcing these matters.
3. Business Refund Policies
Every business may have its own refund and cancellation policy.
Customers should request and read the applicable policy before:
- Booking a service
- Hiring equipment
- Paying a deposit
- Making full payment
- Signing any agreement
If a business does not provide a written refund policy, customers should request clarification before proceeding.
4. Service Bookings
Because many services are customised, scheduled or time-specific, refunds may not always be available.
Examples include:
- Catering
- Photography
- DJs
- Event planning
- Landscaping
- Construction work
- Cleaning services
- Consulting
- Graphic design
- Website development
- Maintenance services
Refund eligibility depends entirely on the agreement between the customer and the business.
5. Equipment Hire
Equipment hire businesses determine their own policies regarding:
- Deposits
- Late returns
- Damage
- Breakages
- Cleaning fees
- Fuel charges
- Replacement costs
- Cancellation fees
Customers should inspect all equipment before accepting delivery or collection and immediately report any concerns to the business.
6. Listing Subscription Fees
Business listing subscriptions paid to Eezi Hire are separate from transactions between customers and businesses.
Unless required by applicable law, annual listing subscription fees are non-refundable once a listing has been activated.
Refunds will generally not be provided because:
- A business received fewer enquiries than expected.
- A business changed its mind.
- A business closed.
- Ownership changed.
- The business no longer wishes to advertise.
- A listing was not updated by the business owner.
- Customer response did not meet expectations.
Exceptions may be considered where required by law or where a billing error has occurred.
7. Deposits Paid to Businesses
Deposits paid to businesses are not paid to Eezi Hire.
Customers must discuss refund arrangements directly with the business that received the payment.
Entity Deep (Pty) Ltd cannot:
- Refund deposits
- Reverse payments
- Cancel invoices
- Recover money
- Enforce contracts
- Negotiate settlements
8. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights available to customers under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, or any other applicable South African legislation.
Customers and businesses remain responsible for complying with all legal obligations relating to refunds, cancellations and consumer protection.
9. Disputes Between Customers and Businesses
If a dispute arises, customers should first contact the business directly and attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
Where appropriate, customers may also seek advice or assistance from relevant regulatory bodies or dispute resolution mechanisms available under South African law.
Eezi Hire is not a mediator, arbitrator or adjudicator and does not determine the outcome of disputes between customers and businesses.
10. Fraudulent Listings
If you believe a business listing is fraudulent or misleading, please report it to:
Email: admin@eezihire.co.za
Please include:
- Business name
- Listing link
- Description of the issue
- Supporting information where available
Eezi Hire may investigate reports and take action where a listing breaches our platform policies.
11. Chargebacks
Customers should not initiate a payment chargeback against Eezi Hire for payments made directly to a listed business.
If a payment was made directly to an independent business, any dispute regarding that payment must be resolved with that business.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Entity Deep (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Refund disputes
- Cancelled bookings
- Delayed services
- Poor workmanship
- Equipment failures
- Deposit disputes
- Contract disputes
- Financial losses
- Consequential damages
- Missed appointments
- Customer dissatisfaction
Customers use the platform and engage with businesses at their own discretion and risk.

Eezi Hire reserves the right to amend this Returns & Refund Policy at any time.
Any changes will become effective upon publication on the website.
